The mountain bike competition brings together the cream of the sport in Minas Gerais; Arcos will host XCC, XCO and XCM events between July 28 and 30
With some small changes to the regulations, Internacional Estrada Real has released the general program of the stage in Arcos (MG). The mountain bike (MTB) races will take place from 28 to 30 July. It is the third to last stage of the 2023 season, always in Minas Gerais. The competition brings together around 1,500 amateur and professional athletes, as it is worth points for the Paris-2024 Olympic ranking.
On Friday (28th) the XCC trials, the cross country short track, will take place, with the departure of the Elite category (professionals) scheduled for 16:00. There will be departures for all categories from 2 pm, and it is possible to preview the times in the official race regulations.
On Saturday (29th), the city of Minas Gerais will host the XCO, Olympic cross country, with the start of Junior Men, Elite Men and Women scheduled for 2pm. At 8:15 the start of the Junior Women will take place, as well as Infanto Juvenil and Juvenil, both male and female.
Sunday will host the XCM races, the Cross Country Marathon, with the start of all categories (professionals, juniors and amateurs) at 9:30. The competitions will always be at the Municipal Water Park. The structure of the place is also an attraction.
Attractions beyond cycling
As per tradition, the Arcos stage will also host children’s and e-bike races, as well as a food and music festival. This is the sixth season of the Internacional Estrada Real, which has been animating the MTB calendar since 2017. The city of Arcos, in turn, entered the host map in 2022, when it was already a hit with the public.
The Arcos stage is expected to distribute more than R$10,000 in prizes. The other two stages of 2023 were also in Minas Gerais, but those who were unable to go can participate in Arcos. The season started in Itabirito in March and then there was a stop in Ouro Branco in May. Admission is free and registration is open on this site for athletes, with basic or pro kits, ranging from R$ 35 to R$ 289.
