Ponte Preta held, last Friday (16th), two meetings with the Deliberative Council to discuss the relevant agendas in the management of the club. On the occasion, the president of Macaca, Marco Antônio Eberlin, clarified the situation of the two bans received by the Campinas team.

According to the president, Macaca received the two in the order of R$ 270,000 just last week. However, he managed to reach an agreement with athletes André Castro and Danilo Barcelos, resolving problems of business debts and unfulfilled agreements.
As for debts, according to Marco, there are R$60 million outstanding related to federal, state and city taxes, labor agreements and debts with former athletes, former employees and former managers, in addition to the stadium’s Pandora. Adding up the total, the value of pending issues reaches R$ 270 million.
In the ordinary meeting, Eberlin also highlighted the delicacy of Ponte Preta’s financial situation, noting that, even so, the board is looking to hire athletes to strengthen the group and help in the sequence of the B series of the Brazilian championship.
