Netflix has released the first teaser of a documentary on Sylvester Stallone, icon of action cinema and protagonist of “Rambo: The Program to Kill” (1982) and “Rocky, A Fighter” (1976). Entitled “Sly,” the production will explore Stallone’s extensive film career while offering an intimate look at the actor. Directed by Thom Zimny, author of the documentary “Elvis Presley: The Searcher” (2018).

In the preview, Stallone confesses his regrets and reflects on his success. “What’s healthier — living under the illusion that you could have been great? Or did you actually have the opportunity to be great, and then you screwed up and realized you were a failure?” first “Rocky” (1976) as Best Picture at the Oscars.

With nearly 50 years in his career, Stallone has won audiences over with his iconic characters and successful franchises, such as ‘The Expendables’ – which will earn another sequel in September. The documentary promises to highlight his inspiring journey over the years, showcasing the beginning of the journey as an actor down on his luck to stardom.

It is worth mentioning that the arrival of the production comes shortly after the premiere of the documentary series “Arnold”, about actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, on Netflix. The two actors were 1980s box office rivals and became lifelong friends known for action-packed films.

“Sly” arrives in the Netflix catalog in November, still without a fixed date.
