On July 22, John Wick will return to our screens. But little ones, on the occasion of the video release of his fourth adventure. Among the known bonuses to date, there doesn’t seem to be a cut scene. There is so little chance of discovering the originally planned ending.
in the given interview EmpireChad Stahelski indeed reveals that a different outcome was intended, less overt than it appears in the movie: “We had a different ending”– says the director. “We did one where we saw John Wick. So it was clear that he was alive. But the audience we tested the feature with largely preferred the ambiguous ending.”
An ending that would make the announcement of John Wick 5 less surprising, certainly toned down by the director a few days ago. And this even if the fact of not attending the funeral of the ex-assassin played by Keanu Reeves left the door open for a return.
In the meantime, the franchise will continue without him: on the small screen and in the past primarily with the Hotel Continental series, which will air three episodes in the US in September. Then to the cinema with a Ballerina spin-off, hosted by Ana de Armas, which could star Keanu Reeves. And have you officially released John Wick 5?
