Starting July 12th, CANAL+ is unveiling The Resort, its all-new event series that’s sure to put the finishing touches on your summer evenings.
When a white lotus is encountered it is lost
The story is about Emma and Noah Reed, a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary on the Riviera Maya in Mexico. The lovers suddenly become interested in an unsolved story: the disappearance of two people fifteen years ago. During their investigation, some well-buried secrets will resurface and call their bond into question. A story about a journey that turns into a search for the truth for two couples at different times, whose fates become intertwined.
If the square might make you think of a drama at first glance, it is not, because the resort’s 8 episodes offer a comedy with a sour tone that quickly turns out to be addictive. In addition to keeping us on our toes as we solve the investigation, the series from Sam Esmail (Mr. Robot) and Andy Ciara (Palm Springs), directed by Ben Sinclair (High Maintenance), gets a new twist.

Headlined by talent who have nothing left to prove in terms of humor and suspense, The Resort also boasts of its 5-star cast. Discovered by her role in How I Met Your Mother, Before Everyone Agrees in Made for Love or alongside Andy Samberg in Palm Springs, Christine Milioti shows once again that she is as funny as she is disturbing. Here she is Emma, a childless thirty-year-old who completely questions the couple and the passage of time.
Opposite him, William Jackson Harper, the hero of Love Life season 2, impresses with the accuracy of his performance as Noah. But that’s not all, because the flight of guests is also part of the trip: Nina Blumgarden, Nick Offerman, Dylan Baker or Luis Guzman!
