According to the 2022 Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) survey, Brazil ranks second in entrepreneurship rankings, second only to India. In this context, franchising emerges as a business model widely adopted by Brazilian entrepreneurs.

Recently, the Associação Brasileira de Franchising (ABF) released its Quarterly Franchise Performance Survey for the first quarter of 2023, revealing a significant growth of 17.2% in the nominal turnover of the franchise market between January and March, compared same period in 2022.

The entity also reported that the franchise sector had revenues of R$211.4 billion last year.

There are two business models offered by the chain with an initial investment starting at R $ 150,000. Currently, Mercadótica has 41 franchise units and is present in 8 Brazilian states.
