Netflix officially renewed “Elite” for an eighth season on Wednesday (7/19). And he revealed that the new year of the teen drama will be marked by the return of actress Mina el Hammani, who gave birth to Nadia – one of the main protagonists until the third season. However, the stream has not commented on a possible series finale.

Earlier this month, Spanish newspaper El Diário confirmed that the Spanish attraction’s eighth season would be its last. According to the vehicle, Netflix is ​​expected to formalize the series finale following the release of season seven in October. Furthermore, the newspaper had already reported the return – now confirmed – of Mina el Hammani in the role of Nadia -, adding to the list of returns also the actor Omar Ayuso, who played her brother.

Nadia’s last appearance was in season 3 when she moved to New York after getting a scholarship to Columbia University. On that occasion, she and Guzmán (Miguel Bernardeau) decide to keep their relationship at a distance, which ends up not working. The two end the relationship, also admitting that they still like each other.

For the eighth year, the cast has added new faces, such as actors Ane Rot (“Killer Book Club”) and Nuno Gallego (“UPA Next”). Production on season eight is expected to begin next August, just before season seven hits the Netflix catalogue.

The eighth year continues with the cast formed by Valentina Zenere, André Lamoglia, Carmen Arrufat, Álex Pastrana, Álvaro de Juana, Ander Puig, Ana Bokesa, Mirela Balić, Gleb Abrosimov, Fernando Líndez, Alejandro Albarracín, Iván Mendes and Maribel Verdú.

Season 7 with Anitta

Launched in 2018, the series captivated audiences with its drama featuring criminal investigations and teen sex scenes. In the face of success, the attraction has become the longest running Spanish series on Netflix, with 48 episodes in the six seasons already released.

Recently, season seven won a teaser featuring singer Anitta, who will make appearances in the new batch of episodes. During an interview with Los 40 radio, from Spain, the artist denied the rumors according to which she would play a teenager in the plot, clarifying that she, in fact, will give life to a new teacher at the Las Encinas school .

“I’m already 30 (laughs). I’m too old to be a student,” she revealed. “But my character is very serious, great. I liked it because I really wanted the opportunity to learn while doing such great and amazing work as ‘Elite’. I was already a fan of the series.”

Season 7 of ‘Elite’ arrives on Netflix on October 20, and there is no forecast yet for an October 8 release.
