Just 4 years after the failed remake, another adaptation of this cult horror novel is coming to streaming

Hollywood is not one remake away, but sometimes they are very close. This is the case of Simetierre, the adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, whose new reading is expected on the Paramount + platform from October 6.

The latest adaptation dates back to 2019 and received mixed reviews. authorized Semester of Pets: Bloodline In the original version, the new remake is presented as a prequel, especially to the unknown chapter of Stephen King’s work.

The story follows young Jude Crandall in 1969, who dreams of leaving his hometown until he discovers terrible secrets about his family’s past. Judy and her childhood friends confront a demonic presence that has inhabited the town of Ludlow since its inception.

Ahead of the trailer’s reveal, the first images from the film have been released – see below. In the casting we will find especially David Duchovny (X-Files), Henry Thomas (ET, Extraterrestrial), but also Pam Grier (Jackie Brown).
