Guilherme Costa secured his place in the final by placing third in the 400m freestyle at the World Cup in Aquatics this Sunday (23rd) in Fukuoka, Japan. The Brazilian known as “dog” goes in search of another medal, after conquering the bronze in the last edition.
The swimmer had a good performance in qualifying, passing in the first 300m among the leaders, behind only the German Lukas Mertens. However, in the last 100 meters, the athlete shot to finish the series in first place. The Brazilian was only behind the Australian Samuel Short and the Austrian Felix Auboeck who finished in the first places in the following heat, thus contesting the final in the third streak.
