4 million admissions: This saga will begin filming a 3rd film without actors!

Over two movies, the Sonic saga has grossed $724 million worldwide. In France, the adaptation of the video game Adventures of the Hedgehog gathered a total of 4.3 million viewers.

This success logically led to the start of the third part, which will begin shooting in September, still under the direction of Jeff Fowler. Ben Schwartz will return as Sonic (vocal), accompanied by James Marsden, who plays Tom, the super-speed hero’s friend. Idris Elba will also be there, providing the voice for Naqls.

Jim Carrey, who impressed in the big bad Robotnik costume, has yet to be officially announced. The actor is expected to reprise his role in this 3rd episode to complete the trilogy without much of a surprise.

However, the first shots are to begin without the actors, who will not be able to participate in the filming for the duration of the writers and actors strike. Massively popular, the movement is hitting Hollywood right now and it’s not about to stop.

Many stars joined the protests and supported this historic strike, such as Dwayne Johnson, who did not hesitate to write a large check to help the most dangerous artists to hold.

Screenwriter Jeff Fowler and his team will thus be able to move forward with plans related to special effects and scenery. The producer hopes to be able to film with the actors and actresses as soon as the strike ends, that is, when an agreement is reached between all parties.
