The Eiffel Tower in Paris was closed to the public on Saturday afternoon after the bomb scare. The information was confirmed by a French police source. Reuters.
According to the French newspaper Le Figaro, the three floors of the Eiffel Tower have been evacuated after the alarm. Visitor pick-up started at 12:00 and finished around 1:30pm.
“It’s standard procedure in this kind of situation, but rare,” a spokesman for the company responsible for managing the tower, Société d’exploitation du monument (Seven), told the vehicle.
