Patrick Alessandrin began his film career in the 1980s as an assistant to Luc Besson on his films Le Denier Combat, Subway and Le Grand Bleu.
It was in this environment that he met his future wife, Lisa Azuelos (they divorced in 2011), with whom he made his first feature film, So Be They, in 1995. The film tells the sentimental journey of three friends with very different personal situations.
Six years later, Patrick Alessandrini embarked on a solo production with the comedy August 15. This time he is interested in the male trio, Max, Raoul and Vincent, who are joined by their companions and their children in the house they rented together for the holidays in La Boule.
Only once do they realize that their wives are gone, leaving dependent children behind. Then they will delve into the problems of rent, neighborhood, cohabitation, as well as in the book The pair in question By Louise Abel, who encourages women to regain control of their lives.
Thus, Patrick Alessandrini signs a light and entertaining summer comedy next to Three Men and a Basket.
August 15 Patrick Alessandrini with Richard Berry, Charles Berling, Jean-Pierre Darossin…
