Four detectives from four different eras – 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053 – discover the same body in the Whitechapel area of London. This is the starting point of the Bodies series created by Paul Tomlin, which we owe to Torchwood. The first teaser released by Netflix is very enticing and we can already imagine the box set to come.
This original concept is an adaptation of the 2015 graphic novel of the same name written by Sy Spencer. During the investigation, the detectives realize that they are at the center of a conspiracy that has been going on for more than 150 years.
Those in the know will definitely notice a detail: the story takes place in the Whitechapel area, the same area where Jack the Ripper committed his murders. It’s a safe bet that the series Bodies will make a connection with a famous serial killer – whose identity is still unknown today.
Shira Haas, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Kyle Soler, Amaka Okafor and Stephen Graham star in this eight-episode featurette.
Bodies, available on Netflix on October 19.
