The movie “Thor: Love and Thunder” will detail the romance between Thor and Jane Foster, interrupted off-screen after “Thor: The Dark World” nine years ago.
The reason and the way in which the separation took place will be addressed in the flashbacks of the new film, have revealed the interpreters of the characters, Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, in an interview with D23 Magazine, the official magazine of Disney (Disney’s Tudum).
According to Hemsworth, “Love and Thunder” will answer questions like, “What was their relationship like when they were together? How did they end up? Why did they break up?” The actor even called these flashbacks as some of the funniest scenes in the film.
“In fact, there wasn’t much evidence [nos filmes] to say, ‘This is how they ended up. That’s how it happened. ‘ This was left open to interpretation, which was great because it allowed us to go on a fun journey as a couple, “explained Hemsworth.
Portman agreed, adding, “It was fun to imagine parts of their relationship that we had never seen before. Being a scientist dating an otherworldly superhero has some very difficult parts.”
In the new movie, Thor will meet his old girlfriend in an unexpected way: blonde, powerful, with her magic hammer and in her place as the new Thor.
Unfortunately, he will also encounter a new dangerous and extremely lethal opponent: Gorr, the Butcher of the Gods, played by Christian Bale (formerly Batman).
Also directed by Taika Waititi (from “Thor: Ragnarok”), the film will be released on July 7 in Brazil, one day before its US release.
