Weg announced this Friday investments of 70 million reais to expand industrial liquid paint production capacity in Brazil until 2024, according to a company statement.
The company will build a new production unit that will increase current capacity by approximately 70%. The project also includes a new logistics distribution center.
The investments will be made in the Guaramirim production park (SC), where the company already produces liquid and powder paints, resins and electro-insulating paints for the industrial and infrastructure sectors.
Weg has been producing industrial paints and varnishes since 1983 and, in addition to its headquarters in Santa Catarina, currently has production units in Mauá (SP), Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Atotonilco de Tula, Mexico, the company said.
