Aquaman 2 Trailer: Epic Images With Jason Momoa, Baby, and Giant Creatures

Launched in 2013 with Man of Steel, the DCEU is coming to an end and will soon be replaced by the universe that James Gunn and Peter Safran are currently building. The honor of closing the brand goes to the one with its biggest success ($1.148 billion worldwide).

Five years after his first solo film (and underwater), Aquaman is back, still in Jason Momoa’s guise. And it’s on the trail of the mysterious lost kingdom of the title, as its epic trailer shows.

The secondary antagonist of the first film, Black Manta (Yahia Abdul-Mateen II), is here the main villain of the story. And he intends to take revenge on the ruler of Atlantis by attacking his family. Including her mother, played by Nicole Kidman, and this baby we see in the images revealed this Thursday, September 14.

What about his wife Mera, played by Amber Heard? The actress only appears in secret for the duration of the image, suggesting that the rumors suggesting that the role was cut following her highly publicized trial with Johnny Depp were true. Which was denied by director James Wan just hours before the trailer was released online.

“I always said so from the beginning”specified by the director varietyHe returns to the filming of a feature film. “The first Aquaman revolved around Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second was always intended to focus on Arthur and Orm. The first was an action-adventure romance. The second will be an action bromance and adventure.”

Faced with Black Manta’s plan, who will be equipped with his own trident to meet the hero face-to-face, Arthur ‘Aquaman’ Carrey will have to call on all possible allies. Including his half-brother and former nemesis Orme (Patrick Wilson), who also returned to the DC Universe and James Wan in front of the camera.

Their Association will hit theaters in France on December 20, as evidenced by this trailer posted online, and a strike by actors and screenwriters has left the threat of a delay.

That won’t be the case, and just days before Christmas, Aquaman 2 will offer its share of giant creatures (including a translucent seahorse), humor and action. So that would be the ultimate DCEU fireworks.
