Santos will face Bahia on Monday in a direct clash in the 24th round of the Brazilian Championship. Marcelo Fernandes, who took over at Peixe following the sacking of Diego Aguirre, has made changes to the lineup.
The big news was the appearance of young Kevyson among the starters. The boy will play as a left winger. Dodô will therefore be used as a third defender, together with Joaquim and João Basso. Lucas Braga will be on the right wing.
Lucas Lima returns to the team in midfield, replacing Nonato. With Rodrigo Fernández suspended and Mendoza injured, Venezuelans Rincón and Soteldo – who returns after serving a suspension in the last round – are also in the starting eleven.
So Santos takes the field with: John Paul; Joaquim, João Basso and Dodô; Lucas Braga, Rincón, Jean Lucas, Lucas Lima and Kevyson; Soteldo and Marcos Leonardo.
