Movie Quiz: Prove You’re a Real Batman Fan!

We can divide Batman adaptations into five distinct periods. First of all, the 60s Leslie H. Martinson’s 1966 film, a continuation of the popular television series of the time. Then the 80s and 90s with two directors at the helm, Tim Burton for Batman and Batman: Arkham City, then Joel Schumacher for Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.

The third phase corresponded to Christopher Nolan and his famous trilogy, starring Christian Bale and several other stars of the cast, including the late Heath Ledger, the unforgettable Joker. Then came the era of the DC Cinematic Universe (Batman V Superman, Justice League…) and finally, the new phase that just opened with Matt Reeves’ Batman and Robert Pattinson as Gotham’s vigilante.

And throughout these twelve feature films, several characters have recurred, all from the original comic book universe, and most notably many of the “bad guys” that Batman has encountered during his many adventures.

Of them, of course, the most emblematic is the Joker, to whom we have already dedicated a quiz. After appearing in several films, the character has been interpreted by various actors: Cesar Romero for the 1966 version, Jack Nicholson for the first Burton-era film, and Heath Ledger under Nolan.

A list to which we can obviously add Joaquin Phoenix for his memorable performance in the Todd Phillips film or Jared Leto in Suicide Squad.

Another central character of the Batman universe is undoubtedly Catwoman. Lee Meriwether donned his costume in the 60s, and if Zoe Kravitz’s last performance in Batman was pretty decent, many agree that the actress couldn’t forget the charismatic Michelle Pfeiffer from Batman: The Challenge.

These characters like the Riddler, Two-Face and Poison Ivy are all very popular in the Batman universe, but can you find their name on the Civil Registry?
