How much does an HBO Max subscription cost?
HBO Max currently only has the Multitelas plan in monthly, quarterly, and annual formats. In February this year, the platform announced the change in the value of the monthly subscription in Brazil. Therefore, the Multitelas plan, which cost R$27.90 in 2022, now costs R$34.90.
However, those who subscribe to the annual plan get a big discount, as the price is R$239.90. Compared to the monthly fee, it would be R$ 19.99 per month, or R$ 14.91 less, a saving that is equivalent to five months of monthly payments. The quarterly rate is R$74.90.
However, customers who signed up for the service when it launched in June or July 2021 received a 50% discount on the monthly fee. Therefore, they currently pay less than new subscribers. The amount paid each month is R$17.45.
HBO Max Plans: What’s the Difference Between Them?
When it launched, the platform had two options. The first of these was Mobile, which allowed users to use the service on cell phones and tablets. The cost is R$9.95 per month, including the launch discount.
The second was Multitelas, which is the only option today. It gives access to all devices, such as notebooks, cell phones and TVs. But it was more expensive at the time: R$13.95. The customer also had the option to subscribe for three months or one year. If you subscribe to the discounts, the Mobile plan costs R$ 19.90, while the Multitelas plan costs R$ 27.90.
