“O Menino Luquinho” competes for the 2023 Emmy

Based on the comics by cartoonist Ziraldo, the series “O Menino Maluquinho”, produced by Chatrone for Netflix, is competing for the 2023 Emmy in the “Best Children’s Animation” section. The awards ceremony will take place on November 20th in New York (USA).

In the same category, the Brazilian series competes alongside names like “Moominvalley” (Finland); “Rilakkuma’s Theme Park Adventure” (Japan) and “The Smeds and The Smoos (UK)”. In total there are 56 nominees in 14 categories, represented by 20 countries.

“It was an honor and the greatest challenge of our lives to make this adaptation. This is a project built by many people, from all over Brazil and contains a piece of everyone’s childhood. We are very happy with the Emmy recognition,” said Carina Schulze.
