Thursday’s heavy rains were the combination of the passage of a cold front with the warm, humid air that had already accumulated over the state of Sao Paulo. The Municipality’s Climate Emergency Management Center recorded 21 flooding points in the city of São Paulo, as of 5pm. But everyone was already inactive. This is the same amount of flooding recorded last Sunday, when the Sao Paulo region faced its first storm of October.

At the CGE stations, the maximum rainfall recorded in the capital São Paulo between 5pm yesterday and 5pm today was between 30 mm and almost 35 mm.
