The Taste of Christmas is the next film to be released in November on the ViX platform, produced by Salma Hayek Pinault and Jose Tamez under the label Ventanarosa Productions, and starring Mariana Treviño and Andrés Almeida.
The film premiered in September at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival as part of the special screenings program.
In addition to Mariana Treviño and Andrés Almeida, its cast includes actors Armando Hernández, Juan Carlos Medellín, Mónica Dionne and Marco Treviño. It was directed by Alejandro Lozano and written by Jose Tamez.
What is The Taste of Christmas, ViX’s next release, all about?
The film presents three parallel stories revolving around the celebration of Christmas in Mexico City, which intertwine at the end. In the first, an estranged daughter seeks reconciliation with her family. In the second, two friends test their friendship by working as contestants Santa Claus at Alameda Central. In the third, a lonely chef preparing Christmas dinners for other families deals with her feelings for her kitchen assistant.
