With an iconic opening, the series “Suits” premiered in 2011 on USA Network and, for nine seasons, followed a group of New York corporate lawyers whose team is comprised of diverse talent. The plot initially introduces us to the furtive Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams): a grown man who takes the entrance exam in place of other people, to earn enough money to finance his life. Although it is a dangerous tactic, Mike has an unusual talent: his photographic memory allows him to get very high marks in selection processes, which makes him popular among people who want to pass courses the first time without trying hard.
One day, however, he leaves the test site and is chased by a group of strange men, perhaps police officers, from whom he escapes to avoid being arrested. In the midst of his escape, he enters a hotel room where several candidates for a lawyer position meet to conduct an interview. So, he mixes with his “competitors”, escapes the police, but ends up sitting in a chair in front of corporate lawyer Harvey Spector (Gabriel Machat).
Amid the progression of Harvey’s arrogant personality, young Mike decides to answer questions just to pass the time. When the lawyer discovers Mike’s photographic memory, he is enchanted and sees in him exciting potential to make an incredible professional.
But there’s a problem: Mike doesn’t have a law degree, despite knowing all the laws by heart. Therefore, he and Harvey will have to act very efficiently to prevent other law firm employees from discovering the truth as they work to defend their clients.
In addition to Adams and Machat, the cast also includes names like Meghan Markle, Sarah Rafferty, Gina Torres and Rick Hoffman. Those interested can watch the series on Netflix.
