Tomorrowland Brasil cancels this Friday’s performances after heavy rain

Tomorrowland Brasil has canceled the presentations that would have taken place this Friday (10/13). The festival reported on Instagram that heavy rains had damaged the event structure, which had already been shared by attendees on social media. Saturday’s program (14/10) remains confirmed and tickets will be refunded.

“Dear visitors, due to yesterday’s heavy storms, rain and flooding, the internal areas of Tomorrowland, parking lots and access roads are severely damaged. Due to these events, we announce that the festival will not be held on the date today, Friday – Friday 13 October”, informed the team of the festival which takes place in Itu, São Paulo.

“We are working hard to ensure the necessary conditions to welcome you safely. Tomorrow, Saturday 14 October, Tomorrowland Brasil reopens its doors. For visitors to DreamVille, we will have a special program with the opening of The Gathering Stage. The information on the refund will be released soon.”

From mud to chaos

Seven years after the last edition, the return of Tomorrowland was marked by excessive rain and mud in Maeda Park, which damaged the accommodation and made it difficult for the public to pass on the stages. On the first day the festival was nicknamed “Tomorrowlama”.

“Tomorrowland Brasil today was a disaster: mud, huge queues to buy drinks, some points unable to pass due to bad planning. Only the stages and the music saved the festival,” wrote an internet user on Twitter/X .

Who would play?

Steve Aoki was the main attraction this Friday (10/13), but the festival still had other relevant names such as Sebastian Ingrosso, Acraze, Skepta and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike.
