Disney: 13 characters we thought were dead … but not really

From Robin Hood to the new characters through Basil, Private Detective or Raya and The Last Dragon, a review of Disney Studios’ 13 animated classics, at the end of which some of the characters we thought would disappear will be brought back to life.

Robin Hood

When he tries to escape after the release of the prisoners from the royal prison and the theft of Prince John’s treasure, Robin Hood Jump into a ditch watered by prison archers.

Seeing the fox slowly rise to the surface, his friends little Gin and Bobby start to get seriously concerned, especially when they see his hat floating on the water, shot by an arrow. But after a few seconds, with their great relief, Robin – who was just using a cane breath – is back!

Pinocchio

Thanks to a strategy devised by Pinocchio, his father Jepetto manages to escape from the whale monster entrails and return to dry land. But the sudden insertion of their stick on the shore seemed to be fatal for a small wooden doll that remained lying on the ground, completely inert.

He finally comes back to life, transforms into a real little boy when the blue fairy visits him for the last time and fulfills his precious wish.

Caesar

At the end of the Lady and the Tramp, who has decided to catch up with the car from the pound, often this slut with uncertain talent falls under the wheels of a chariot. The heartbreaking screams of his friend, Jockey, can be heard at night, but the old dog desperately remains motionless.

To the great relief of all the spectators, old St. Hubert happily reappears from the following sequence, adorned with a simple strap on his right toe. More fear than harm!

Balu

At the end of the Jungle Book, after a relentless battle with the tiger’s mixed skin, Mowgli’s best friend seems to no longer want to wake up. As long as the little man is uneasy and the panther-skinned Bagiera has already begun to praise the bear, the latter opens one eye, then the two, until he is fully conscious, ready to resume the festival in the jungle.

Emerald

Would the balloon lit by Frolo at the end of the film have been fatal for the young gypsy, but quasimodo was released before the fire was extinguished?

Esmeralda, transported to the summit of Notre Dame by her faithful companion, refuses in any case to open her eyes, due to the great despair of Khuchuch. When the judge reappears, ready to get rid of his prosthesis, he will happily come to his senses.

Hercules

If he wants to save Megara’s soul, Hercules has no choice: he must dive into the green waters of the Styx and sacrifice his life to restore the life of a loved one. Even though the protagonist is noticeably getting older and his end is approaching, the generosity of his decision still prevents fate from inflicting a fatal blow on him.

Again immortal, he frees his bride from the fateful river and returns to the surface, determined to put an end to Hades.

Basil

The pursuit of balloons, the duel over Big Ben between Baker Street Basil and the terrible Ratigan and the fatal fall of two rivals … for a moment everything indicates that the brave detective has finally fallen into vain, following his worst enemy.

However, as soon as the crack of a small pedal board in the London sky begins to resonate, the rodent gradually reappears and, by the power of its tadpoles, activates the life-saving propeller.

Flynn Rider

At the end of the film, Gottel is stabbed, the depraved spirit is exhaled after Rapunzel himself cuts his hair, thus trying to save the princess from an isolated life, but also deprives himself of the only chance to heal from his injuries.

Contrary to all expectations, finally it is the tears of his beloved that allow Flynn to open his eyes after a few seconds.

Raya

At the end of the movie, when the characters find themselves surrounded by an evil force, which they call Drun, their only solution is to cooperate. But the old controversies have a tough skin and set an example for comrades, Raya Must first be petrified.

His sacrifice, which was soon imitated by each of his friends, allows them to restore the dragon stone and revive all.

Anna

In the midst of an unintentional storm caused by Elsa, her and Anna – also affected by the power of the Snow Queen – slowly freeze and end up on the ground. When her and her sister witness this horrible spectacle, she can not hold back the tears and runs to her to gently embrace her: an outpouring of love that instantly melts the ice that held the princess captive.

Bymax

Will Hiro and Baimax manage to cross the teleportation portal in time, allowing them to get to San Francisco? The robot realizes that his armor is almost completely destroyed and will not be able to return, the robot sacrifices himself and rescues the young boy with a rocket fist. An artifact in the heart of which Baimax took care of inserting a memory card, allowing the hero to reconstruct it identically, at the end of the film.
