WARNING, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR IT’S ALL BEGINNING WEDNESDAY EVENING ON TF1! If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read the following!
On Wednesday, October 25, everything starts here…
Lysandro worries about David
Lisandro confides in Rose about the flashbacks that came back to him during dinner with Esteban and Hippolyte the day before: he remembers being punched and yelled at by du Chesnay when he was younger during his maitre d’s training. Lysandro is worried because he thinks this is a figment of his imagination and not reality. Rose then tells him about her traumatic amnesia, saying that’s what happened to her with her ex-husband. Suddenly, buried memories came back to him. Lisandro begins to worry: if his flashes are true, the students of the institute are in danger because of him.
At Double A, Hippolyte allows students to leave the gym after class. But he keeps David working on his posture while he carries a heavily laden tray. Specifically, he controls her posture, hitting her with an iron ruler if she’s not standing straight enough and forcing her to move from table to table.
Later, David finds Ethan in the park and suggests to him that his training with Hippolyte is painful. Ethan, who just thinks his friend is making some demands, sympathizes because he went through the same thing with his mother. He then highlights how much progress David has made thanks to this training. He is very proud of himself. David cannot be flattered.
Before the service begins, Lysandro speaks directly to Hippolytus about the memories he has returned to find out if they are real. Du Chesne believes he has done what it takes to prepare him, but his methods are not at risk. Inadequately reassured, Lisandro oversees the service. When Hippolytus wants to accompany David to the cellar to drink wine, Lysandro offers to accompany him instead. Annoyed, Hippolytus strongly objects and orders Lysandro to stay away.
After the service, Lysandro goes to check on David to make sure Hippolytus isn’t violent towards him. David pretends everything is fine and tries his best to be the best, like when Lisandro trained him in mixology. However, Lisandro points out that the demand is one, but physical abuse goes beyond coaching and falls into mistreatment. At the same time, Lisandro notices a bruise on David’s wrist. She questions him about it, but David backs off and assures her it’s nothing. Faced with Lisandro’s insistence, the tone rises until Laetitia intervenes and everyone goes their separate ways.
Later, David shares an intimate moment with Deva as she complains that her back hurts. Deva insists on finding out what is wrong and discovers his multiple bruises. David pretends that he often crashes into tables during work, and then leaves.
A worried Deva tells Kelly what she discovered, not suspecting that Laetitia overheard their conversation. As Deva leaves, Laetitia tells her daughter what she saw earlier in Double A: she suspects that Lisandro hit David…
Mehdi wants to convince Listrak with his project
At the studio, Mehdi is under a lot of stress as he has to present his master’s project to Listrak’s boss during the day in hopes that he will choose him as the project director. Hortense helps him get rid of stress and offers to exercise with him. Mehdi presents a gourmet food project in school canteens, which aims to educate children about cooking. Hortense thinks her project is brilliant and suggests that she take advantage of Esteban’s stay at the institute to test it in real-world conditions.
At the workshop, Mehdi will present his Brussels sprouts prepared with butter puree and grilled shrimp. If the Listrac chef affirms his desire to offer variety in the meals served at schools, he still finds his recipes too refined to keep up with the industrial pace. Lionel sees this as an opportunity to impress the chef with his own project. However, Listrak prefers to give himself time before making a decision.
Later, Mehdi treats Esteban to a dish of roasted pumpkin. The boy doesn’t get too excited when he sees the plate, then forces himself to eat a piece, which he immediately spits out, declaring that it’s not good. Infuriated, Mehdi considers the child capricious, and the Listrak chef suggests that his student be more realistic.
At the end of the day, while Listrak encourages Lionel for his project, which he considers very promising, Mehdi is convinced that he needs to try his dishes to a wider range of children. Listrak’s boss allows him to try out the next day, as he will choose the project he is leading at the time.
Salome knocks on A’s door with a double
At Double A, Teissier enters the kitchen to check that Salome is following Anais’s menu recipes. The young woman complies, stating that she has no interest in continuing to offer her best friend meals after he returns. But Teissier doesn’t want to test his concept at the institute’s restaurant.
At the end of the service, Teissier returns to the kitchen to congratulate Salome, who has honored Anais’s menu. However, the young woman announces that she is resigning immediately to test her concept elsewhere. It will be implemented by Friday. Teissier warns him that if he decides to leave, he won’t be able to set foot in Double A again. But Salome will not reconsider her decision.
Outside, Salome finds her lover and shares her relief that she has finally stood up to Teyssier. She then asks him to test his concept at a coffee shop on Friday. Gaitan agrees to help him even if their preparation time is short.
Salome doesn’t waste a minute taking inventory of equipment and contacting suppliers. But he realizes that he may really miss the existence of the brigade. At the same time, Maya and Chef Guinot come to see him to help and inform him that they have leaked information to the Institute. Salome will not lack support or customers!
