In 3 days at the most, currently in the cinema, Frank Gastambide appears on stage, which he also agreed to commentate for us in the guise of Vin Diesel. A fun cameo, knowing that the Taxi 5 actor and director already played on the lookalike of the American actor in his film Pattaya in 2016.
Frank Gastambid immediately agreed to appear in the film of Tarek Budal, whom he had met for years at film events, but with whom he had never shot before.
He confides to our microphone: “JI obviously agreed right away, but first of all I thanked Tarek for taking the first step between the two teams, because we had wanted to work together for a long time. We all really admire each other’s work.
There is something very positive between us and we have been meeting for years at rallies, events… and we say that we should do things together. My role in 3 Days Max is kind of participating with the Fifi gang.“
A joint project for 2 groups soon?
And beyond a simple cameo, two of the current French comedy groups could be teaming up for a feature film. If during our meeting with Philippe Lachaux, the latter admitted that he wanted to team up with Gastambid and his gang on a larger project, Frank Gastambid He confirmed to us that the two groups were already thinking about the film together.

“We’ve been wanting to do a movie together for a couple of years, my band and the Fifi Band. So we talk about it, when one or the other has an idea, we pitch it. The reality is that it’s Tarek and Philip. I’m very busy and so am I, So it’s more of a timing issue.
I think that since it was agreed upon and we all said that we really wanted to do something together, what will happen now is when we find the right idea. And I’m sure that when we have the right idea, we will be able to offer the public a great popular comedy where we can combine our skills.”
And given the box office results of both teams’ films, it’s a safe bet that once the right idea comes along, producers will scramble to finance the film.
The actor and director adds:They are really good people, so there is no competition between us, we always cheer each other whenever one of our films becomes a hit. So this idea of taking two guys from the new generation of comedies and pitting them against each other on stage is a wink and it was very enjoyable.
Maximum 3 days It’s currently in theaters. On the other hand, Frank Gastambide started shooting the Netflix series La Cage.
