Thursday’s victory against Cruzeiro brought Sao Paulo closer to the threat of relegation in the Brazilian championship. After the 31st round of the match, the Tricolore enjoys an 8-point advantage over Vasco, the first to enter the drop zone.




According to data from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Sao Paulo has only a 1% chance of falling. Corinthians, also from Sao Paulo, are also in a more comfortable position, with 40 points and a 3.7% chance of relegation.

Vasco, despite the away win against Cuiabá, remains in a very uncomfortable situation in the Brasileirão 2023. The Rio team has a 60% chance of falling. América-MG and Coritiba are practically relegated, while Goiás also finds itself in a very difficult position.
