In this new installment, which focuses on President Snow’s youth, Coriolanus (Tom Blythe) is the last hope of his bloodline, which has fallen from grace in the post-war Capitol. As the 10th Hunger Games approaches, he is reluctantly tasked with mentoring Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zeigler), a tribute from District 12, the poorest and most hated of Panem.

With Lucy Gray’s charms captivating society, Snow sees an opportunity to change their fate and join forces with her to turn fate in their favor…

Adapted from Susan Collins’ 2020 novel, The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird is directly related to the quadrilogy that featured Jennifer Lawrence. While you definitely don’t have to watch the first movies to understand the prequel, it’s full of references and winks.

Therefore, this is an opportunity for beginners to treat themselves to a small session and finally get to know Volcanic Catney Everdeen.
