This is a big surprise: Another spin-off of Game of Thrones is in development. According to exclusive information HollywoodReporterThe HBO channel was really producing a series focused on a fan hero: John Snow.
The ugly duckling of the Stark family, who became King of the North, after eight seasons of the series learned his true identity and connection to the Targaryen family, which brought him a place on the Iron Throne. But the murder of Deener Targaryen drove him from Westeros and embarked on a journey with the Welldings for a new life.
And this spin-off series should focus on this part of the life of John Snow (or the loved ones of Egon Targaryen). According to the Hollywood Reporter, Keith Harrington, who has since been seen on The Eternals, will be ready to play the role he made known to the general public.
While this news may delight fans, it is amazing for HBO that it is developing a spin-off that is very close to the original Game of Thrones series. At the moment, other series are in development or will be released soon, such as House of the Dragon, evolving thousands of years before or after.
This leaves HBO with the opportunity to introduce all the new characters and not be too tied to the parent series. So John Snow this spin-off series project is totally against this plan and wants to use the character’s popularity.
First of all, it adds to the long list of spin-off projects – a total of 7! – which we do not know if everyone will see the light of day. The point, of course, is that the Game of Thrones machine will be updated very soon with House of the Dragon, which is scheduled to air on August 22 at OCS in France.
