Paul Rudd, actor who plays the Ant man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), he revealed that he had to make some sacrifices to play the hero on film. In a podcast interview he said that he had to follow a strict diet, that the dietary restrictions were “horrific” and that his only “reward” was drinking sparkling water.
Paul Rudd’s statements were made during an interview on the gastronomic podcast Off Menu. Despite the difficulties with the diet, however, the actor said he got used to it over time.
I’ve done this for all the Marvel movies and sometimes it was easier than expected. Once you get started, it’s not too difficult. This really boring diet actually gave me tons of energy.

He also said that diets like this are part of the actors’ preparation process. Chris Hemsworth, who plays the Norse god Thor in the MCU, for example, “ate porridge out of Tupperware, just blended something” while recording Avengers: EndgameRudd pointed out.
