The Prime Video platform is packed with features. They are sometimes very useful to prevent children from accessing programs of their age or watching a movie or series from a distance at the same time.
This week we are going to talk about x-rays. Contrary to what its name suggests, it is not a video format or a code name that allows you to access hidden lists, but a very practical tool.
When you launch the program on your TV or computer, a small box will appear in the upper left corner. An X-ray tab that “scans” the screen gives you a real-time list of actors appearing on the set of your TV series, movie or documentary. It is useful when we want to know the name of the actor or actress that we see in front of us. Sometimes the X-ray even shows the song that is currently playing.
video lesson:
“Who is he again? I’ve seen it somewhere before…”
On Amazon Prime Video, just stop answering with X-ray. Perfect for those who didn’t know Tom Cruise #notgloriousbustersdown. pic.twitter.com/u4ifB7hrlX

This service relies on the IMDB database, which is owned by Amazon. This strength allows it to be the only platform that offers this functionality. To be able to view the X-ray image while you are viewing it, simply move the mouse if you are at a computer or press the top arrow on the remote control.
More X-ray features on Prime Video
Clicking “Show All” on the top left will give you access to other features. The Scenes tab lets you jump from one sequence to another in the movie or episode you’re currently watching. As for the Cast tab, it will display all the actors who appear in the program you are currently watching.
