The “Recreio nas Férias” program offers activities for infants, children and adolescents aged 0 to 14 from 8 to 26 January

A Sao Paulo City Hall Registrations are open for the 43rd edition of Recreation on vacationa program of the Municipal Department of Education (PMI) which offers recreational activities for infants, children and adolescents aged 0 to 14 during school holidays in 64 spaces distributed throughout the national territory capital.

This summer camp for children is free and will take place from 8 to 26 January 2024. The event will be organized in 56 Unified Education Centers (CEU), two Municipal Schools (EMEF) and three Indigenous Education and Culture Centers (CECI). Children up to 3 years old will be looked after at the Early Childhood Education Centers (CEI).

For children over four years of age, recreational activities take place from 9am to 4pm, with the right to three daily meals (breakfast, lunch and snack). In nurseries, care will be provided full time, from 7am to 5pm, and children will receive five meals.

Programming in the colonies promises recreational, recreational, sporting and cultural activities. The Municipality and PMI expect to serve a total of 18 thousand people, including infants, children and adolescents.

According to the municipality, the objective of the Recreio nas Férias program, which will reach its 43rd edition in January 2024, “is to function as a further tool to enhance integral and inclusive education, as well as guarantee nutritious meals and activities that promote physical and cultural activities”. cognitive development even during school holidays.”

Registration can be done at any educational unit in the municipal network. To guarantee a place, you must bring a proof of residence and an identity document or birth certificate of the child and guardian with you when you register. Children aged 4 and over who are not registered with the network can also register.

Central nurseries welcome newborns and children enrolled in any unit of the municipal network, directly, indirectly or through agreements.
