Last Friday, former Corinthians striker Dentinho took part in the Jogo das Estrelas, a charity event with the mission of collecting food for donations. The match took place in the municipality of Santana de Parnaíba, in the metropolitan region of São Paulo.
Dentinho has been without a club since his departure from Ceará in October 2022. The player said he had difficulty adapting to Brazil due to a series of injuries. According to him, during this period there were more than 12 injuries.
Despite the problems, the athletes want to return to the field in 2024. He revealed that he has received proposals and is studying the best solution.
“My readjustment to Brazilian football was very complicated there at Ceará, which is a great club, has a great fan base. But unfortunately I had a lot of injuries and that hurt me a lot. I’m a boy who always likes “I will be in field, helping my team. I did a lot of damage, more than 12 injuries. So it was difficult, but I hope that in 2024 I can play again, I feel good, I’m healed,” he said.
“Yes, I have some proposals, but I’m talking to my coach, we will make a decision soon,” he added.

With a notable spell at Corinthians, the striker has never hidden his desire to return to Timão. Dentinho, however, has never been approached by the Parque São Jorge club.
He denied resentment, but admitted he was angry at not receiving an invitation from his former club. There, the player won the 2008 Serie B, as well as the Paulista and the 2009 Copa do Brasil.
“Never, no regrets. My gratitude to Corinthians is eternal, I built a very beautiful story there. What I did is marked. We get a little angry, but it’s part of life. The management didn’t want it at the moment, Lo I understand, but my love for the club is eternal,” he said.
In addition to Corinthians, Dentinho played for Shakhtar Donetsk, from Ukraine, and Besiktas, from Turkey, before playing for Ceará. At 34 he will soon have to make a decision about his future.
