New apocalyptic production from the streaming platform features Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali, Ethan Hawke and Kevin Bacon in the cast
The World After Usa new film from Netflix, premiered a few days ago, but is already at the top of the most watched films on the streaming platform, proving that it should be as successful as other apocalyptic productions such as bird box (2018) and Don’t Look Up (2021). In one of the scenes, the characters are trying to escape the chaos and end up finding a huge line of Tesla cars blocking their way. In the film, the character of Julia Roberts tries to understand the gigantic line of cars and realizes that they are brand new, as if they had just left the factory. She then notices that the dashboard says the vehicles can be controlled automatically, without the need for a pilot.
Then, an identical car appears on the horizon, coming quickly towards the character and her family, who are inside the car. She runs, in desperation, and warns her family to get in the car, because they will be hit. They escape and, halfway through, they have to dodge dozens of other cars, all without drivers, coming towards her and joining the huge line of crashed vehicles.

The World After Us is the first fiction film produced by Higher Ground Productions, the company owned by the former president of the United States, Barack Obamaand the former first lady, MichelleObamawhich previously focused on children’s programs, documentaries and historical dramas.
The film is an adaptation of the book of the same name by Rumaan Alamreleased in 2020. In the story, a family’s vacation in a luxurious house is compromised by a cyber attack, which causes a blackout on all devices.
The situation gets even worse when two strangers appear at the door and they begin to notice that things are getting worse and the world is collapsing, with no possibility of salvation for the family and the rest of the population.
