It’s official! The Compadecida Auto 2 will arrive in cinemas in December 2024, as announced this Friday (15) by Selton Mello, Matheus Nachtergaele and the production company Conspiração Filmes. With the launch confirmed in a joint Instagram post, the iconic Chicó and João Grilo also wowed fans with a new photo of the duo.
In addition to the return of the protagonists, the sequel will also see the return of Virginia Cavendish (Rosinha), Chicó’s wife, and Enrique Diaz, who will once again play the cangaceiro Joaquim Brejeiro.
The cast of The Compadecida Auto 2 It also includes Taís Araújo (Our Lady), Eduardo Sterblitch (Arlindo, a powerful merchant and radio presenter), Humberto Martins (Colonel Ernani), Fabiula Nascimento (Clarabela), Luis Miranda (Antônio do Amor), Juliano Cazarré (Omar) and Luellem de Castro (Iracema).

Again directed by Guel Arraes, now with the support of Flávia Lacerda, The Compadecida Auto 2 will debut in December 2024: an exact date should be announced soon.
