Anais learns of Theo’s return

At the institute, Hortense is still angry with her mother. If she took the gift that the latter had given her the day before, the young woman still hadn’t opened it. Mehdi finally pushes her to do it: it’s a photo of her the day the teachers came back to school, accompanied by a note from Eugene saying he was so proud and excited. Hortense cannot hide her emotions.

Meanwhile, Teissier stops by the atelier to sample a starter and a meal created by the Christmas Brigade. He does not believe their work at all, which in his eyes lacks courage. Anais promises that they will make a new proposal during the day. As Teissier leaves, Anais and Salome send their servant to brainstorm a new menu together.

After some thought, Anais and Salome announce to their brigade what they have decided on the menu: the starter will be oysters cooked in leeks and saffron; The dish will be lobster with sweet spices in a pastry sheet. The brigade has one hour to prepare everything before Teissier returns. Anais feels guilty for wasting time making her wishes come true. Vicky, who hears, instead claims that he did the right thing, because thanks to him, Hortense agreed to see Eugene again.

Indeed, Hortense sees her mother again in the cafe to apologize for speaking badly to her the previous day. She thanks him for both the gift and the words. Eugene expresses his desire to spend time with his daughters. Hortense suggests that they spend the Institute Christmas together.

In Double A, Penelope, Malik, and Carla hang their wishes on a tree in hopes that a mysterious Santa will grant them. Berenice, in turn, reads Constance’s wish. A little later, the nurse finds a voucher for two days at the spa on her desk. She goes to her husband’s office to thank him for this delicate attention. But Emmanuel admits that this gift does not come from him. He suspects that Secret Santa is behind it all. Either way, Constance hoped she could find a little intimacy and companionship with Emmanuel, and eventually convinced him to spend a day at the spa with her, even though she hated it.

Later, Tessier complains about this to Mark. Both are curious about the identity of the secret Santa. Mark admits that he also wanted to know his identity, because of him, Thomas Lacroix, who put his son in a coma, found a job again thanks to Chef Meyer. This detail alerts Tessier.

Back at the workshop, the director evaluates the Christmas brigade’s new proposals. Even if the dishes are less bad, he considers them still not in keeping with the institution. Dismissing the clerks, Teissier takes Salome and Anais aside and accuses them of spending their time fulfilling wishes, especially those of his wife, instead of working on the menu. Salome and Anais reply that they have offered nothing to Constance. Teissier then simply accuses them of being useless. He adds that they will humiliate themselves at the Institute’s Christmas, specifying that Theo will be there for the occasion…

Clotilda avoids Joachim

At the breakfast table, Clotilde tells Rose about her conversation with her companion the previous day and the latter’s desire to have a child. She is shocked because she has never talked to him about this before.

At the Institute, Joachim confides in Penelope about the same topic. He admits that he has been thinking about it for a long time and felt that it was finally time to talk about it. Penelope can’t help but wonder, given the age difference between Clotilda and her. Joachim states that he is also ready to create a family through adoption. He just hopes that Clotilda is on the same wavelength.

During the hybridization module with the young master chefs, Clotilda receives a message from Joachim, who suggests that she go to a restaurant in the evening to resume the discussion in peace. To avoid this, Clotilda makes her students work longer than expected.
