– It is not a lie to anyone that we are in negotiations, but we have to wait for the next steps – he said.
On holiday in Rio de Janeiro, the midfielder underlined that it is the entrepreneurs who take care of the negotiations between Palmeiras and Fortaleza and that he wants to make the most of his free time.
– I think now is the time to enjoy the holidays. Very happy with what is happening. It was a very good year for me, I was happy with Fortaleza. My agents, together with the Fortaleza team, are taking care of this. Hang on, enjoy the holidays a little, let my agents sort it out and whatever it works out I think I’ll be happy with. I am grateful for the past year and to continue following these paths to pursue a successful career,” she commented.
The player is part of Palmeiras and Fortaleza’s plans for next season, as he has a contract with Vancouver Whitecaps, from Canada, and Leão is trying to finalize the purchase of Caio’s rights for R$12 million.
In a conversation last Tuesday, the agreement went well and Palmeiras signaled that they should formalize a proposal for Fortaleza with a view to signing the midfielder.
If the deal is concluded, Caio will be Verdão’s third reinforcement for 2024, who has already signed Aníbal Moreno and Bruno Rodrigues.
