After attracting 700,000 fans to the cinema in 2022, Les Segpa again faces an adventurous new academic year, this time directly at the terminal. Two main challenges await them: passing the baccalaureate and suddenly participating in the interscholastic Winter Olympics.
Directed by Ichem Boughéraba, did this sequel convince the first curious crowd? We appreciate AlloCiné thanks to viewer ratings! As of 14:00 on December 28, the film has a score of 1.9 out of 5. It’s slightly better than the first episode, rated 1.7 out of 5.
What do viewers think?
Horus Maximilien Viala clearly enjoyed skiing Les Segpa: “It’s very funny, the gags follow each other at an incredible pace, it’s hard to catch your breath between gags. The music is great, following their adventures is impressive; the message of the film is great about overcoming yourself, friends, brotherhood, mutual aid, generosity, kindness.”
Berserk Gatu, on the other hand, disagrees at all: “It’s a sweep. It’s supposed to look like Les Bronzés on skis, but without the talent, poorly written, poorly acted, I’ll pass.” Agile switch I agree with this: “This is one of the biggest purges I’ve ever experienced in my life. This movie is truly the worst conclusion to 2023.”
Some situations are predictable and lack originality.
Culturevsnews is a bit more nuanced: “The plot of the film offers a refreshing and exciting perspective on the journey of these young Segpa students. The work cannot avoid certain clichés and stereotypes associated with education films. Some situations are predictable and lack originality, but the characters have charm. And the acting manages to compensate for these minor flaws.”
For Corinne P., Les Segpa au ski is a movie “Uninteresting. A big letdown for me. I didn’t find anything funny. It’s just beautiful scenery.” as for Alizee Bouet1311, her opinion is more moderate: “It’s a really good movie to watch with the family, it’s honestly funny, I recommend you don’t hesitate.”
After all, according to Tony, Segpa is skiing “Whatever your age and cinematic tastes are to avoid. The actors do what they can in this script with ridiculous stereotypes.” Anyway, if you want to make up your own mind, the feature film hits theaters on December 27th.
