Reacher on Prime Video: How tall is Alan Richson? (hint: taller than Tom Cruise)

Jack Reacher’s monumental stature is essential to his incarnation, and it’s hard not to wonder how tall Alan Richson is and whether he’ll be a good match for Lee Child’s character in Reacher.

From the opening scene, the series establishes that the Alan Richson version of Jack Reacher is an intimidating man. It is enough to give an enemy a hostile look to make us tremble. Without a doubt, the Prime Video series shows that his build and military training allow him to stand up to several foes.

From the first episode, Reacher emphasizes the hero’s physical prowess, showing how he fends off a whole group of men in prison who try to jump him. Later, he easily beats three men at once, backwards. Jack’s size also becomes a source of much consternation, especially when he walks up to the table and seems to have ordered the entire buffet for a “simple” meal.

With so many details surrounding the main character’s height, it’s no wonder that many viewers are wondering about Alan Ritchson’s actual height.

It is (almost) equal

As he said in a podcast last December Inside You with Michael RosenbaumAlan Richtson is 1 m 92 tall. In his novels, Lee Child describes Jack Reacher as a former military police investigator who is 6’1″ tall. This means that Alan Richson is six inches short of Jack Reacher in the books.

A small difference in size that does not harm the series, which relies heavily on the impressive physique of its actors. Fans of the books will be the first to welcome the artist’s quality, both in terms of playability and appearance. We remember that the choice of Tom Cruise (and his height of 70 meters) to play the character in the films was controversial.

In the Prime Video series, Alan Ritchson agrees with everyone.
