In São João de Meriti, a man was the victim of an electric shock and another drowned. There was also confirmation of the death of a man in Belford Roxo. In Duque de Caxias, two men were victims of electric shocks.

Firefighters continue their search for a missing woman after a vehicle fell into the Botas River in the Andrade Araújo neighborhood on Saturday night.

More than 200 occurrences

In 24 hours, the company responded to more than 230 rain-related incidents across the state of Rio de Janeiro, related to rescuing people, flooding, flooding, tree cutting, landslides and mudslides.

Heavy rains flooded streets, affected public transport and left the Ronaldo Gazolla hospital in the capital without electricity. Due to the chaos caused by the floods, some races and tests were cancelled.
