Peixe recently received a proposal to have a new main sponsorship
Blaze, current main sponsor of Santos, has shown interest and can cover the sponsorship proposal received by the club. Recently a bookmaker approached Peixe with an offer to become the new owner of the main advertising spaces of the Vila Belmiro team.
The current sponsor has requested Santos to send more information on the new proposal, according to Lance!. The deal for Alvinegro to change his main sponsorship is around R$30 million to R$40 million per year.
Blaze also claims to have the documentation ready to regularize operations according to the new regulations for betting houses in Brazil. The company is interested in remaining on the market and does not want to be prohibited from operating on Brazilian soil, which could happen because the company is not based in the country.
The new law on betting houses – approved at the end of 2023 – defines, among other factors, that companies must have fixed operations in Brazil.
Currently, Santos receives R$22.5 million per year through the main sponsorship contract, valid until April 2025. Despite having requested information and shown interest in remaining at the club, there is no guarantee that the company will cover the proposal received from Peixe.
