Madame Web will be Sony’s longest film in the Spider-Man universe

It’s true that most of the Spider-Man films in cinemas are not produced by Sony: all the most recent ones, starring Tom Holland, were made in partnership with Marvel Studios. However, Sony is creating (or trying to create) a universe with characters straight out of the story (without him necessarily being present). Among feature films, Madame Teia, which is expected to be released this year, is expected to be the longest.

The duration of the film, as indicated on a Norwegian site that sells cinema tickets and has already started pre-sales, will be 116 minutes (1 hour and 56 minutes). This makes the production take longer, as none of the other films in this Sony universe reach this milestone, as we can see below:

The old films are not from the same Sony universe

Currently the only films considered to be part of Sony’s Spider-Man universe are those already mentioned above, in addition to the new Madame Web. Other titles distributed by Sony, such as The Amazing Spider-Man and The Amazing Spider-Man, are therefore not taken into consideration. Man 2. Regardless, these films would still be shorter in length than Madame Web.

When Madame Teia arrives in cinemas

Scheduled for release on February 14, the film is directed by SJ Clarkson and features a cast that includes Dakota Johnson, in the lead role, Emma Roberts and Sydney Sweeney.

Also in 2024, another film from Sony’s Spider-Man universe is expected to hit the big screen. The film about the villain Kraven the Hunter, one of the main antagonists of the famous and beloved Marvel hero.
