When The Vampire Diaries – Or RST In short, if we count its original title “The” – it debuted in 2009, literally took the small screen by storm. Vampires were all the rage at the time: Twilight had debuted a year earlier, and the teenage population swore by these creatures of the night with a passion for human blood. The show, also based on a popular book series, this time by LJ Smith and launched in 1991, extends that charm and continues to dust off the teen genre – just like those series – and is an absolute hit.
Here all the ingredients will come together to make the series a success.
