A 38-year-old man is stabbed to death after an argument in Vila Anair
A fight between neighbors on Tuesday night (30) resulted in a fatal outcome in Cachoeirinha, in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre. The incident occurred in Rua Araçá, in Vila Anair, around 9pm, resulting in the death of a 38-year-old man.
According to information from the Military Brigade, the victim was killed with a knife. Police suspect that there was an argument shortly before the crime, although the specific details of the conflict are not yet clear.
Witnesses told officers that both the victim and perpetrator were neighbors, suggesting a possible prior history of disagreements between the two. After the incident, the suspect fled, but he presented himself shortly afterwards at the 26th Military Police Battalion in Cachoeirinha, confessing to having committed the murder.
According to police reports, the suspect was under the influence of alcohol at the time he showed up. The exact nature of the previous disagreement between the two men is still under investigation.
The case was registered and is being handled by the Gravataí emergency police station.
