Bernier, Lucas and more prepare to make their return to television nearly two years after the last episode aired! This Thursday, February 1st, TF1 will indeed be airing a new, unreleased research unit bonus called “Death march”, which sees two gendarmes lead an investigation on Reunion Island.
Two years after the last episode aired
Bernier, newly retired, goes on a trip to the island with his former colleagues. Unfortunately, as they arrive at the secluded shelter where they plan to spend the night, a hiker from their group is found dead, hanging from a tree in a macabre scene.
Just when they thought they could finally disconnect and enjoy the island’s magnificent nature, they must investigate to find the culprit. Deprived of any means of communication and unable to alert the local authorities, Bernier is forced to return to work for a disturbing new investigation.
And if everyone in the lodge is suspect, only one is guilty. But who could blame this ruthless journalist? The research will be conducted by the research department.
Investigation behind closed doors
Almost three years after the series was canceled and two years after the conclusion bonus aired, Xavier DeLuc, Franck Semonin, Fabien Carat and Alice Thielroy return in this new, original opus where our heroes thrive in a hostile environment. To put it mildly.
And if they were hoping to take a well-deserved vacation to Reunion Island, they’d soon be overwhelmed by reality and unable to join forces for a new investigation behind closed doors. will push them to their limits.
Written by Laura Fontaine, Denis Alamercer and Yann Le Gall, this new opus from Section de Recherches offers a twist-rich story that will keep the audience hooked until the end.

Spectacular settings… and guests
In addition to a well-crafted script, director Abel Ferri, who worked notably on Le Saut du Diable, took care to separate the spectacular and wild setting of Reunion, offering us fresh air and warmth in the middle of winter.
As for the guests, Elodie Varlet, who is currently at the center of the intrigues of Plus belle la vie, encore plus belle, Isabelle Vitar (Our Dear Neighbors), Olivier Sitruc (Balthazar), Laurent Maurelli (Revenge with Holy Eyes) and Soan Arhimann perform in this special episode actors.
Note that this isn’t the last time TF1 viewers will see the characters from Section Recherches, as a new bonus has just started filming in Martinique.
