In the debut of the senior national team, Fluminense beats Bangu in the Carioca Championship


Tricolore remains undefeated after five rounds at state

With the return of the main team, Fluminense beat Bangu 4-1, this Thursday (1), in the 5th round of the Carioca Championship. Adsson opened the scoring for the visiting team, but Keno, Arias (2) and Cano guaranteed the three points for Fernando Diniz’s team.




With the triumph the Tricolore reaches 13 points and continues to lead the state with a comfortable lead. Bangu however remains with just one point and in 11th place in the competition.

⚽ HOW DID THE MATCH GO?

In the initial phase, the Guerreiros team wasted good opportunities and Bangu opened the scoring with Adsson who scored a great goal after an individual error by Fábio. In the second half, Keno equalized in the first minutes, and Tricolor achieved the comeback with goals from Arias and Cano. In the final, the Colombian closes the counterattack with another goal.

WHAT’S NEXT?

On Sunday (4), Fluminense travels to Saquarema and faces Boavista, in the 6th round of the Campeonato Carioca. On the same day, Bangu faces Audax.
