a little while ago, Man Ivan Mars on his Instagram account (who presents himself as a “film detective”) thus creating a very strange connection between Mother Gothel, Rapunzel’s cunning stepmother who keeps the latter a prisoner at the top of her tower, and the evil Queen Snow White.
As Ivan explains in his video, these two antagonists are obsessed with their physical appearance. While Snow White’s queen constantly consults her magic mirror to confirm that she is indeed the most beautiful in the kingdom, Gothel tries to preserve her youth at all costs by cultivating the petals of a magical flower (whose powers are transferred to Rapunzel’s long hair). ).
But could the two villains actually be the same person?

Indeed, as Ivan’s Instagram post reminds us, Snow White’s queen (transformed into a witch at the end of the film) falls off a cliff. However, it is at the bottom of the rock that Gothel discovers the magic flower for the first time. Not to mention the fact that the two hooded old ladies looked relatively similar, and that both films are adaptations of Grimm fairy tales set in roughly the same region of Germany.
To complete his theory, Ivan went so far as to notice a particularly disturbing little detail in the tower where Gothel raised Rapunzel. On one of the pillars in the room, we can actually see an apple that looks eerily similar to the one that Snow White’s queen used to poison the princess.
