Tomorrow Belongs to Us focuses on Gilles and Cécile and is clearly not done surprising us, be it on the level of the series’ story or behind the scenes.
In this Wednesday’s episode of Tomorrow Belongs To Us on TF1, viewers finally discover the true bond between Cecil and his captor. In a revelation that surprised everyone after everything led us to believe that Pascal Villard was Cecile’s lover, the man the police were looking for is actually… the young woman’s father!
And the most surprising thing in all of this, of course, is the fact that the interpreters of Dorothe Pousseau and Perkins Liotei, Cecile and Pascal, do not have such a large age gap in their lives.
Dorothe Pousseau (Cécile) and Perkins Liotei (Pascal) are only 14 years apart.
Dorothée Pousséo joined Tomorrow Belongs to Us a few weeks ago as Cécile, the new companion of Gilles (Laurent Gamelon).
If this actor’s voice means something to you, that’s okay. He has a remarkable career as a voice actor to his credit and has notably provided the voice of Margot Robbie in nearly fifteen films, including Suicide Squad, Babylon, and Barbie (the 2023 box office hit that was recently parodied by Ryan Gosling himself at the Oscars. Trailer).
Born on February 13, 1979, Dorothe Pousseau is therefore 45 years old, while Perkins Liotei (La Garçonne, Platane), who plays Cécile’s father in Tomorrow Belongs to Us, is 59, as he was born on November 20, 1964.
The age difference is only fourteen years, which at first glance makes it hard to believe the relationship between their characters in the TF1 series.
But luckily, the authors of Tomorrow Belongs To Us have thought of everything. Indeed, in the episode aired this Thursday, February 15, and now available on the TF1+ platform, Cecile explains to the police that her parents had a very young one:
“My parents were kids when they had me. They were barely adults. And when my mom got pregnant, my dad panicked. And he disappeared. He didn’t come back for 30 years.”.
Note that the fourteen years that separate Dorothe Puss and Perkins Liotte do not qualify the two actresses for the prize for the most unlikely parent-child duo in Tomorrow Belongs to Us.
In this game, Marianne and Chloe Delcourt remain the strongest considering that Luce Muschel (age 60) and Ingrid Chauvin (age 50) are only ten years old… but have been playing mother and daughter on screen for almost seven years.
Catch the rest of tomorrow from Monday to Friday at 19:10 on TF1 and in advance on TF1+.
