After the great success of Oppenheimer, director Christopher Nolan is thinking about expanding his horizons. The director studies directing a horror film. According to him, Hollywood studios give more freedom to artists working on films of this genre.
Christopher Nolan even said that horror is one of the few genres that studios really invest a lot in today. And that the films, very abstract and dark, have many of the qualities that Hollywood tends to reject when it comes to other genres.
Despite being open to new experiences, the director is in no hurry. According to him, it is necessary to find the perfect idea for the film to work as desired.
I find horror films very interesting because they rely on cinematic devices to create a visceral response in the audience. At some point in my career, I would like to do a horror film. But I think these films depend on a great idea to work, and it’s not often that an idea like that comes along. So I haven’t found mine yet.

The statements were made during the director’s participation in an event at the British Film Institute, in London, this Thursday (15th). The information comes from Omelette.
